Is the Junior Economic Club a non-profit?

The JEC is affiliated with the Junior Economic Club of Chicago, which is a 501 (c)(3) Non-profit organization

Does the Junior Economic Club have other branches?

Yes. There are 17 Chapters from Chicago to Atlanta to Toronto to Grand Rapids to Dubai and much more!

Is there a membership fee?

No, membership in the club is completely free to students, as the club seeks broad participation.

Do you have to be enrolled in an economics course at your high school to become a member?

No, many of the JEC’s members are not enrolled in economics courses at their high school. While it is important for economics to be an interest of every applicant, coursework does not impact applications.
