On October 13, 2025, JEC hosted an exclusive conversation with Andrew McMillen, Assistant Director of Admission at Carnegie Mellon University, for a candid discussion on the CMU admissions process, financial aid policies, and what top universities are looking for in applicants. Mr. McMillen began with a short overview of CMU’s academic programs and admissions philosophy, followed by an open Q&A session where students asked questions about essays, extracurriculars, and the evaluation process.
