Speaker Event: Anupam B. Jena

Event Description: Join us for a conversation with Professor Anupam B. Jena, a Harvard Medical School Professor and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Professor Jena’s work centers around health care economics, such as the economics of medical innovation and health care productivity. During this event, members will have an opportunity to learn about Professor Jena’s unique career path at the intersection of health policy and economics, from his MD/PhD journey to his tenure as the host of the Freakonomics, M.D. podcast. 


Speaker Bio: Professor Anupam B. Jena graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and went on to receive an M.D. and Ph.D. in Economics from UChicago. Both a physician and researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research, Professor Jena’s work centers on health care economics. He has coauthored a book, Random Acts of Medicine, as well as published many journal articles on his research (?). Professor Jena was also the host of the Freakonomics, M.D. podcast, where he explored various questions at the intersection of health policy and economics.
